Bad new, good news, bad news, good news: In that order

Bad news: Somewhere I had a brain fart and missed one of the book drawings.

Good news: So, for the next drawing I'll giveaway 2 books instead of just one.

Bad news: I realized that my NaNo project isn't going to be long enough to reach 50,000 words. I only have 2 more chapters left and I'll be lucky if it hits 3o,000.

Good news: Last night I did a quick outline, (more like the start of an outline) of another idea that I've had, and I'm kind of excited about it. So I will have another project to start working on. It's a YA Fantasy and it's called (insert drum roll here) Gossamer Crimson (insert cheering here)

So, I will give away two books. I should be done with my 1st story on Friday so I'll draw names then. The books are "An American Girl: Peril at Kings Creek" and "Katie Kazoo Switcheroo: A Whirlwind Vacation"

Leave a comment below to have your name entered for the drawing. If you share with me what clever terms you use to refer to a laps of memory (ie: Brain fart) then I'll enter your name in twice. The drawing is random, it's not based on how clever your term may or may not be.

Now . . . back to my regularly scheduled house cleaning (gag!)

Great job with NaNo!!!

I always say..."Sorry, air bubble tickling my brain" when I have one of those "brain farts"...

My grandma always said, "brain alarm on snooze again."

Enter me!

And hey--30k is quite an accomplishment. Maybe a subplot could extend that.

Good for you for being almost done Christy, and yay for a cool new idea so you can finish NaNo! I love the title Gossamer Crimson!

I've heard "Brain Fart" a lot, and I've used "Brain Freeze" and "Brain Mush," too.

Now all I have to say is "Head Injury" or "Concussion."

But you could make up something fun, like "NaNo Brain," or "Writer's Amnesia."

Speaking of "Brain Drain," are we supposed to tell you which book we would like to win? If so, I'm all for Katie Kazoo. I've been wondering about her for a while.

Love the new title. I think it's great that NaNo is getting TWO novels out of you!

Great job on the word count! I'm not sure if mine can reach the 50,000 word goal either. What I was thinking of doing was writing the story in a different way. Right now it's in first person, but once I finish it, I might start another version (fictional rather than factual). Not sure if that's "allowed" but I thought it might be fun and keep my word count going.

LOL @ "brain farts". I think I use "brain melt down" a lot, or "senior moment" for stuff like that.

Holy cow, two projects for Nano?? That's fantastic!! Glad Nano is working for you. :)

My dad used to say "brain fart" all the time. :) I always liked "senioritis" or "brain skipping" (like vinyl records). :)

WOW!!! That is amazing. I can't believe you've nearly completed a project and November is only about half over. You rock!

Plus, I got my book. Haven't read it - yet. I'm working on the Sookie Stackhouse novels at the moment. But maybe this weekend. . .

I'm kinda feeling like a slacker next to you.

Your title is great! And 30K words is still wonderful for NaNo! If that's what it's meant to be, then so be it!

Two chapters left, I'm so impressed!

Congrats on the new idea for a new project!

Brain fart...LOL! I must have had BIG one, (or a Brain Sneeze, or Brain Belch) becasue all day yesterday (Thursday) I thought it was...today (Friday.) I was so into thinking it was Friday I went to my Pilates class instead of water aerobics. And I rarely miss my water class. I was shocked to come home at 6 PM and be reminded it was Thursday!

I like that title!

I usually say that my train of thought has derailed.

Wow! guys! You're great with the brain fart verbage. I guess it comes from experience, huh? ;oD

I've been getting behind on replying to posts, so please forgive my lack of personalization. I've got a lot to catch up on. Thanks for entering! I'll post winners soon!

SL, since you asked me what Gossamer Crimson is about, I don't want to avoid you question, but I haven't been able to boil it down to a blog sized description yet. I'll have to work on that! Sorry! It takes place in another world, there's a charm bracelet with powers, deceit, rebellion, a struggle between truth and illusion. That's as good as I can do right now. :0)
